Jagran correspondent, Meerut. There was a stir in Sadar Bazaar after seeing Muslim people from many states coming to collect donations for the construction work of Babri Masjid in Bengal. The traders informed the Cantt MLA about the matter. After the intervention of the MLA, the police caught all the people and took them to the police station. The police station verified the people who came to collect donations and released them.

According to the police, 25 Muslim people had come to Sadar and city bullion market to collect donations from the artisans of Bengal. All these people were residents of West Bengal, Bihar and Assam. When all these people reached Sadar Bazaar on Friday evening, there was a stir among the traders.

The traders immediately informed this to Cantt MLA Amit Aggarwal. The MLA talked to SSP Avinash Pandey and asked all the people who came to ask for donations to get the verification done. On the orders of SSP, Sadar Bazar police station arrested all the people and brought them to the police station.

The police verified all the people in the police station and released them without taking any action. Police station in-charge Inderpal Singh says that Babri Masjid is being built in Bengal. These people come every year to collect donations from the artisans of Bengal working in the bullion market. After seeing all the documents he has been released.
