Alankar Agnihotri and Ramjanak Yadav
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. The administration has taken a big step after the government suspended City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri. DM Avinash Singh has handed over the additional charge of City Magistrate to Additional Deputy District Magistrate (ASDM) Ram Janam Yadav. Along with this, a notice has been pasted at the residence of PCS officer Alankar Agnihotri.
PCS officer Alankar Agnihotri had resigned from his post on Monday. Hurt by the insult of UGC and Swami Avimukteshwaranand, he had talked about taking action. After his resignation the government suspended him. Alankar Agnihotri remained in the government residence even on the third day of his resignation and suspension.
He had asked his supporters to take him to a secret place at night, but he was still there in the morning. Police force also remained deployed there throughout the night. ADM City Saurabh Dubey reached there and saw. After this, on the instructions of DM Avinash Singh, a notice was pasted at the official residence of Alankar Agnihotri.
DM handed over the additional charge of City Magistrate to Additional Deputy District Magistrate Ram Janam Yadav. He has said in his order that no separate allowance will be paid to him for the additional charges. Along with his present post, he will also hold the responsibilities of Municipal Magistrate. This arrangement will remain effective till further orders.
