On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, local MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav hosted a feast of dahi-chuda at the football ground in Jheel Tola of Purnia, singer Anupama Yadav sang many songs.

On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, a grand cultural program along with Chuda-Dahi Mahabhoj was organized by local MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav at the football ground located in Jheel Tola, Purnia. This event not only provided an opportunity to share the joy of the festival, but also served to connect the people of Seemanchal on one platform. With the presence of hundreds of common people, public representatives and distinguished guests, the entire ground got colored in the colors of the festival.
Mainly Katihar MP Tariq Anwar, former Bihar government minister Bima Bharti, former minister Haji Subhan, former MLA Rukmuddin, former MLA Dev Narayan Rajak, former MLA Mohd. Ghulam, Katihar Congress District President Sunil Yadav, Purnia District President Vijendra Yadav, Deputy Mayor of Katihar, IMA President Dr. Alok Kumar, Dr. Angad Chaudhary, Brajesh Mishra Deepak Aggarwal, Vishesh Verma, Sandeep Singh, Aditya Kejriwal, Sudarshan Das, representative Afroz Alam Sanjay Singh Vaish Khan, Rajesh Yadav Bablu Bhagat Mantu Yadav, Sudu Yadav Samiullah, Sumit Yadav, including various Panchayats of Purnia and Seemanchal region. Heads, chiefs and other public representatives participated. MP Pappu Yadav himself welcomed the guests and met the people to know their well-being. MP Pappu Yadav, while wishing the people present on Makar Sankranti and Lohri, said that this festival is a symbol of social unity, love and brotherhood. Pappu Yadav also appealed to the people of Seemanchal to maintain mutual harmony and move forward unitedly for the development of the area.
People enjoyed traditional Chura-Curd in the Mahabhoj. The poor and the rich, leaders and common people were all seen sitting together and eating food, due to which a beautiful scene of social harmony was seen. Pappu Yadav himself was seen serving food to the people and talking to them. This behavior of his made people feel even more affectionate towards him.
Cultural program was the special attraction of this event. Famous folk singer Anupama Yadav won the hearts of the audience with her melodious voice and brilliant presentation. He presented many folk songs and popular songs, which enthralled the entire atmosphere. Everyone danced to the Gita of Gori Aag Lagave. He also wished Makar Sankranti to everyone from the stage. Apart from them, singers Navneet Singh, Bikki Baba and Pawan Bihari also entertained the people with their songs. The audience continued enjoying the program with applause and dancing and singing for a long time.
