Jagran correspondent, Rai (Sonipat). Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal participated in the foundation day celebrations of Motilal Nehru Sports School, Rai on Wednesday. During this, he gave a clear statement on the issue of mining in the Aravalli mountain range and said that mining in the Aravalli mountain range is completely banned and there is no threat to the hills.

Manohar Lal Khattar said, 'The instructions of the Supreme Court are being completely followed. The rules have been made more stringent and illegal mining has been completely stopped. He stressed that the Aravali hills are safe and the government is fully committed to environmental protection.

Targeting Congress in the programme, the Union Minister said that Congress is running away from talks on every issue. He accused the government of misleading the nation regarding the Special Investigation Report (SIR) and now playing politics over the Aravali issue. Manohar Lal said, 'When Congress has no issue, it raises a new topic, but when the turn of discussion comes, it runs away. Now she is doing something similar with Aravali also.

Referring to the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh, the Union Minister said that the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh are painful. Such incidents are creating situations like Pakistan there. Bangladesh should not follow the footsteps of Pakistan and will have to repent over these incidents.

The presence of the Union Minister in the foundation day celebration of Motilal Nehru Sports School gave special importance to the program. On this occasion, the contribution of the school in the field of sports and education was appreciated.
