Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. On the instructions of the Election Commission, SIR work of voter list of assembly elections is being done, so that pure voter list can be prepared. For this, counting forms have been distributed to the voters, which have to be filled and submitted to the BLO.
Voter forms are to be digitized by BLO. Till Tuesday, forms of more than 70 percent of voters in four out of five assembly constituencies of the district have been digitized.
Deputy District Election Officer Saurabh Bhatt said that till Tuesday, forms of 70.47 percent voters in Loni assembly constituency, 73.02 percent in Muradnagar, 70.56 percent in Ghaziabad city assembly and maximum 82.54 percent in Modinagar assembly have been digitized.
3, 74, 671 voters are still untraced in the district and 3,75,199 voters are in the permanently shifted category, the forms of these voters have not been digitized. The work of the first phase of SIR will be completed on 26th December, till then instructions have been given to BLOs to digitize the forms of as many voters as possible, cooperation of BLA is also being taken in this.
