Digital Desk, New Delhi. Three people died and seven others were injured, four of whom are in critical condition, after their sports utility vehicle (SUV) fell into a dry pond in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district.
A terrible road accident has also happened in Morena district of MP. Here the truck hit the motorcycle, in which three members of a family including a minor girl died and the person was seriously injured.
Three people lost their lives in Vidisha
Kotwali Police Station House Officer (SHO) Anand Raj told PTI, 'The incident took place around 10 pm on Thursday night, when the SUV carrying 10 people was going from Garatganj to a wedding in Jafarkhedi village.
The SHO said a team from a nearby police post reached the spot and rushed the victims to the hospital within 15 minutes of the accident, which took place in Bargi village, 8 km from the district headquarters.
Giving information, the police further said, an injured person has been admitted to a hospital in Bhopal for advanced health care. The condition of four of the injured is critical.
The officer said the SUV driver probably failed to see the signboard at the end of the road, following which the speeding vehicle fell into a 30-feet deep dry pond filled with stones.
Rajesh Lodhi (35), Sonu Lodhi (30), who was driving the car, and Chandrashekhar (35) were declared dead at the hospital, the official said.
Three including a minor died in Morena
City Superintendent of Police Deepali Chandoria said that the accident happened on Thursday, February 12 at around 5.30 pm near Dal Mill in the area of Civil Lines Police Station.
Giving information today on Friday, the police said, a truck hit the motorcycle. After the collision, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away, prompting locals to block National Highway 44, disrupting traffic for about an hour.
In this accident, Ramrati (45), her daughter-in-law Poonam (25) and two-year-old granddaughter Kavya died on the spot. Ramrati's son and Poonam's husband Rambaran Jatav (46), who was riding the bike, was seriously injured. The officer said that he has been admitted to the district hospital.
