Dead body of police station in-charge found in hotel (inset- deceased Karan Singh Rawat)
Digital Desk, Indore. There was a sensation in Dhar city of Malvanchal on Friday when a dead body was found in a suspicious condition in a room of Shivani Hotel located in Mohan Talkies area. The deceased has been identified as Karan Singh Rawat, station in-charge of Khargone district. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the police department.
When the hotel staff informed the Kotwali police after not getting any response from the room, the police reached the spot and entered inside by breaking the locker of the door. Police station in-charge Rawat was found dead inside the room. As soon as the information was received, Superintendent of Police Mayank Awasthi also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Police have sealed the hotel room and started investigating the matter. FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team has also been called for investigation. The police have established a route and the relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident. According to officials, the post-mortem process will be conducted only after the relatives arrive.
According to preliminary information, station in-charge Karan Singh Rawat had come to Dhar in connection with duty in the Urs fair and was staying in the hotel since December 12. His body was found inside the room at around 12 noon on Friday.
Kotwali police station in-charge Deepak Singh Chauhan said that at present the cause of death has not been revealed. The police is investigating the case from every aspect and the situation will become clear only after the post-mortem report.
