MRI And CT Scan Facility Not Available In Delhi's IHBAS For Two Years, When Will Patients Get Relief?

Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. Patients undergoing treatment at the Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) located in Dilshad Garden in Delhi are not able to get the facility of MRI and CT scan due to the machine breaking down for a long time.

The hospital management says that the approval for the new machine has been received, but the machine has not reached the hospital.

CT scan machine broke down

About two thousand patients come to the OPD in Ihbas every day, out of which 70-80 patients are advised to undergo CT scan. The CT scan machine used in emergency has been lying broken for several months and despite complaints, it has not been repaired yet.

MRI facility not available

For this reason, patients are being sent to Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital for treatment, where they are given only films of the scan and MRI facility is not available. Patients say that in critical condition, it becomes difficult to take them to another hospital, which leads to delay in treatment.

At the same time, the hospital administration has assured that in the coming few days, the facility of MRI and CT scan will be started for the patients.
