There was a sensation in the area when 13-year-old Amit Bind was strangled to death in Kuraba village of Shampur police station area of Munger district on Saturday night. As soon as the information about the incident was received, there was a stir in the village, while the relatives were crying and in bad condition. It is suspected that the teenager was murdered while sleeping, which has made the case even more mysterious.
According to relatives, Amit Bind had gone to sleep in his room after having dinner on Saturday night. The room where he slept had no door and was completely open. When family members tried to wake him up on Sunday morning, he did not respond. When I went closer, he was not breathing. Panicked relatives hurriedly took him to Haveli Kharagpur Hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.
During the initial investigation in the hospital, clear marks were found on the neck of the teenager, due to which it is suspected that he was murdered by strangulation. After this the incident was informed to the police of Shampur police station. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and sent it to Munger Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
Police station in-charge Nitish Kumar said that at present no written application has been received from the relatives of the deceased. However, considering the seriousness of the incident, the police is investigating from every aspect. He said that a team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has been called for scientific investigation of the incident site, which is collecting evidence from the spot.
The police are also investigating who committed the murder and under what circumstances. Neighboring people are being interrogated and information is also being taken from family members. Police say that the cause of death and the truth of the incident will be completely clear only after the post mortem report and FSL investigation report comes. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident and people are shocked.
