Many items related to weapon manufacturing have also been recovered in the police raid. However, as soon as the police got wind of the raid, the smugglers fled. The police had received information that illegal arms manufacturing was being done in a deserted area of Tarapur Diara.

On the basis of this information, Mufassil Police Station Head Vipin Kumar Singh informed the Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood in view of the seriousness of the matter. On the instructions of the SP, a special team was formed, which included armed forces personnel. The team reached Tarapur Diara in a planned manner, surrounded the identified locations and conducted a raid. During the raid, the police recovered a semi-finished pistol, three base machines, magazines and many equipment used in making weapons. It became clear from the spot that illegal weapons were being manufactured here for a long time.

However, as soon as the police arrived, the factory operator and the smugglers associated with him fled away. Police believe that the absconding accused were getting protection at the local level. The police station incharge said that the recovered items have been confiscated and an FIR has been registered against unknown persons. He said that investigation is being done on the basis of technical evidence and local inputs to identify the people associated with the mini gun factory.
Continuous raids are being conducted at possible targets. Police claim that soon people associated with this illegal arms network will be arrested. This action of the police has created panic among the people involved in illegal arms trade in the area.
