Samvad Sutra, Payagpur (Bahraich). The former Kshetra Panchayat member who had gone to guard the crops was found lying in the field in a critical condition. There were injury marks on his head and body. The family members took him to CHC. The doctor present on the spot declared him dead. The police have registered a case against the unknown and started investigation. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident.
Jagdev Prasad, resident of Kot Bazar, was a former area panchayat member (BDC). Had gone to the fields on Tuesday night to guard the crops. When he did not return for a long time, the family members became worried. His mobile was also said to be switched off. Fearing something untoward, when the family members reached the fields in search of him late at night, they found him lying in a critical condition.
There were many injury marks on the body. Blood was also coming out from the head. He was taken to the Community Health Center Payagpur in an unconscious state, covered in blood, and the doctor declared him dead. The councilor's son of the deceased, Vishnu Yadav, has filed a complaint in the police station alleging murder of his father with a sharp weapon. Police Station Head Sanjay Singh said that a case has been registered against the unknown and investigation is being done.
