Yamuna Expressway Apparel Park new center of employment and exports
Digital Desk, Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government has taken decisive steps towards making Uttar Pradesh a major textile and apparel export hub of the country. Under this strategy, 'Apparel Park' being developed on 175 acres of land in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) area is going to prove to be a milestone in the industrial scenario of the state. This ambitious project is not only attracting international investors but is also opening new doors of employment on a large scale for the youth of the state.
Investor confidence and allocation status
Tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among entrepreneurs and investors towards the Apparel Park scheme. According to official data, out of the total 173 planned plots of the park, 156 have been successfully allotted till January 22, 2026, while now only 17 plots are left. The proof of the success of the 'Ease of Doing Business' model of the Yogi government is that till now the lease deeds of 106 units have been executed and the actual possession of the land has also been handed over to 89 investors.
Construction work started on ground
Not only on paper, the Apparel Park is now taking shape on the ground as well. At present, building maps of 39 units have been approved and construction work of 15 industrial units has also started. The priority of the government is to complete the projects in a time bound manner, for which an action plan has been sought from all the allottees as per their Detailed Project Report (DPR). Instructions have also been given to complete the land purchase process for the remaining 17 plots soon.
New global center of employment and exports
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath aims to put Uttar Pradesh on the global export map through One District-One Product (ODOP) and the new textile policy. Due to its location near Yamuna International Airport and excellent connectivity of expressway, this park will bring huge growth in the export of readymade garments. The project will generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, which will also provide a global platform to local MSMEs and startups.
