Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. Police arrested three more accused in the murder case over dancing on DJ. This incident took place on February 10 in Harijanpur, Sikriganj. Atul alias Muneeb Chauhan, resident of Chiraiyadahar, Sahjanwan, had gone to his brother's in-laws' house. Where he was beaten to death with bamboo and sticks. On the basis of sister's complaint, a police case was registered and two accused were arrested and sent to jail.
Police identified the accused as Nikku Chauhan alias Durgvijay Chauhan, Akshay Chauhan and Parvindra Chauhan alias Pavid, residents of Harijanpur. The police also recovered the bamboo and stick used in the incident from them. After interrogation, all three were presented in the court and sent to jail on Sunday.
Atul alias Muneeb Chauhan, resident of Chiraiyhadhar of Sahjanwan police station, had four brothers. Muneeb used to prepare for police recruitment while staying at home. Since one of his brothers, Anil, was in Dubai, Muneeb had gone to his in-laws' house in Harijanpur for the wedding ceremony on 10th February.
At 10 pm, a dispute broke out while a song was being played on the DJ and some influential youth of the village, who had come for the wedding procession, started beating Akash, a resident of Kanhaila of Dhanghata police station of Sant Kabir Nagar, and Sunny, a resident of Chormara. Seeing this, Muneeb Chauhan reached there and started intervening. Angered by this, the elders started beating Muneeb.

When he fell down, he was made unconscious by beating him with bamboo and sticks. He died on the morning of 11 February during treatment at BRD Medical College. On the complaint of Muneeb's sister Saroja Devi, the police registered a case of murder against Satendra, Nikku, Pavid, Babi Chauhan and Akash Chauhan.
SP South Dinesh Puri said that all the named accused have been arrested and sent to jail.
