Jagran correspondent, Agra. Diversion will become a hindrance for the spectators on the way to Taj Mahotsav, a festival of crafts, art, culture and cuisine. ITC Mughal one-way road from the turn of SP office on Fatehabad Road is closed. Due to traffic flowing on both sides on one road, traffic jams persist throughout the day.

Along with regional citizens, tourists are also struggling with this. On the other hand, due to restriction on movement of vehicles from Purani Mandi towards Yamuna Kinara Road, there is a jam situation on Mall Road. Problems may also arise due to co-workers.

One-way road is closed from SP office turn to ITC Mughal.

This time the Taj Mahotsav Organizing Committee had chosen the Tata Group's plot located on Fatehabad Road for the festival. Earlier, a plot situated at the back side of Selfie Point I Love Agra was considered, but due to the narrow road there, the idea of organizing the festival was abandoned. Due to the work of Unity Mall in Shilpgram, the festival is not being held for the first time. City residents may have to face traffic jams to reach the venue.

There is a ban on the movement of vehicles from Purani Mandi towards Yamuna Kinara Road.

There is traffic pressure on Fatehabad Road and Mall Road in the evening due to vehicles of tourists returning after seeing the Taj Mahal. The work of laying pipeline in Namami Gange project is going on on Fatehabad Road. For this, Jal Nigam has completely closed one side road from the turn where SP office is located to Hotel ITC Mughal. Traffic on both sides is running on the same road for about one kilometer long, which causes long traffic jams from 9 to 12 in the morning and in the evening. Both tourists and regional citizens get trapped in this.

Metro work is going on here

Metro work is going on near ASI office on Mall Road. The pipeline is also being replaced on the road coming from Phool Syed Square towards BSNL Ground. Due to this the road here has become narrow. Earlier, the route to Yamuna Kinara Road via Purani Mandi was open for the city residents. Due to the work of Namami Gange, no vehicle is allowed to enter this road from Purani Mandi side. Due to this, everyone will have to return through Mall Road, which will lead to traffic jam due to increase in traffic there.

DM had given instructions to prepare traffic plan

DM Arvind Mallappa Bangari had inspected the venue on Wednesday. He had given instructions to make a traffic plan due to the ongoing work on the road, so that no one faces any problem. Along with the main road, entry and exit arrangements are also being made on the road leading to Tajnagari.
