In this case, on Friday morning the watchman's relatives surrounded the police station and blocked the road and demanded action against the accused. The relatives were demanding action against the accused father and son.

Randhir Singh alias Ranveer, 50, resident of village Shahpur under Jamunapar police station area, used to work as a watchman at Uma Vatika located in Lakshmi Nagar for 20 years. According to his relatives, on the morning of January 18, he had left home asking to go to Uma Vatika, but did not return. The relative connected the mobile phone, but it was switched off. Relatives lodged a missing complaint of Randhir Singh at Jamunapar police station on January 20.

The crime was committed on the night of 18 January, the accused Sonu was arrested by the police.

On the morning of 22 January, Randhir's son Dharmendra Singh gave an application to the police station in-charge. It was said that along with the father, father and son Mahendra and Sonu also work at Uma Vatika respectively. It is alleged that the accused had taken father Randhir Singh from Paanth Bazaar in Laxmi Nagar on the pretext of giving him liquor on the evening of January 18. The father is missing since the same day.

It was feared that Sonu and his father had committed the murder and made the body disappear somewhere. On Thursday, when the police took the accused Sonu into custody and interrogated him, he confessed to murder and throwing the body in the Yamuna river after a dispute.

The relative alleged that the police was not taking action even after accepting the murder. The relatives created a ruckus in the police station premises for an hour.

Police station in-charge Videsh Kumar calmed down on his assurance of action. Police searched the body from the steamer in Yamuna, but did not find it. At 3:30 in the afternoon the relatives blocked Lakshmi Nagar road. Traffic was affected due to the jam that lasted for an hour. SP City Rajeev Kumar Singh got the jam cleared by convincing his relatives.

SP City said, the watchman had illicit relations with the mother of the accused Sonu. On the day of the incident, Sonu had seen the watchman in an objectionable state with his mother. Due to this, he took the watchman with him and after giving him liquor, when he was drunk, he strangulated him to death. Packed the body in a sack and then called an e-rickshaw. The body was taken to Gokul barrage by e-rickshaw and thrown in the Yamuna river. The e-rickshaw driver is being searched through CCTV footage. Sonu, who was arrested in this regard, has admitted this to the police.

Checked more than 50 CCTV footages

After the information about the disappearance of the watchman and then the murder, the police station team checked more than 50 CCTV footage from Vatika, Paith to Gokul Barrage. In this, the accused is seen carrying a sack in an e-rickshaw. Police are trying to recover the body.
