The championship, which will run till February 16, will be inaugurated by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj amid colorful programs on Friday.

This event will establish Uttarakhand as the national capital of winter sports.

Harshmani Vyas, President of Winter Games Associates of Uttarakhand, said that this enthusiasm of the snowy valleys of Auli is not just a sports event but is a symbol of Uttarakhand's increasing involvement in sports. This event will provide new energy to the youth, tourism and local economy of the state.
