Vijaya Ekadashi 2026: What to do and what not to do on Vijaya Ekadashi?
Religion Desk, New Delhi. According to the Vedic calendar, Vijaya Ekadashi is on Friday 13th February. This festival is celebrated every year on the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. On this auspicious occasion, special worship is done to Lord Vishnu, the creator of the world, and Goddess Lakshmi. Also, Ekadashi fast is observed for him. By observing this fast the seeker gets Vijayashree (Auspicious Yoga for Success) in all areas of life.
If you also want to get the blessings of Lakshmi Narayan ji, then worship Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the world, with devotion on the day of Vijaya Ekadashi (Lord Vishnu Puja Vidhi). Also, recite Vrat Katha (Vijaya Ekadashi Vrat Katha) and Hari Stotra during the puja.
I shall now praise the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the beginning of the universe, who is the source of all material conditions, and who is the source of all material contamination in the universe, and who is the source of all the universe, who has thus covered the universe.

I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, who has given up the infinitesimal opulence, considering the remaining alternations of the sky, and whose body is like the light of the sky, and whose body is the source of all existence.
Seeing everything in the Supreme Personality of Godhead, seeing the Supreme Soul in all living entities, I am the only one in all men, and I am the only one in the hearts of the people. I worship Him alone, who is the destroyer of the darkness of this material world. He sees Him everywhere.
I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who sees, hears, perceives, tastes, smells and maintains this material body. He is the knower of sense gratification and thus destroys the darkness of material existence. When awake one sees gross material objects and illusory energy, while asleep one sees the illusory energy of material existence, and thus I worship Him who destroys the darkness of material existence.
Seeing the transcendental form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in various forms He appears wonderful like crystal He is unborn and separated by the fruits of His actions He destroys the darkness of material existence I worship Him who destroys the darkness of material existence Harimide ॥
I worship that unborn Hari whom Varuna first spoke to Bhrigu destroys the darkness of material existence He who has given up these five cells of taste and other substances and who has concluded in his own self that he is Brahman who is instructed by his father and who knows Bhrigu in the Yajur Veda destroys the darkness of material existence I worship that Hari ॥
I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the doer and the enjoyer, whose power is ascended above the darkness of this world. Touching everything by His own Self, He pervades the entire creation and the rest ॥
I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead destroyer of the darkness of this material world whom those who have seen and understood within their hearts enter into the Vedanta the spiritual scriptures Puranas and other scriptures The Supreme Lord can be known immediately in this world by faith devotion meditation and tranquility He is incomprehensible even in hundreds of births without them I worship the Lord, who destroys the darkness of this material world.
I worship that Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the ultimate goal of His own self-realized His own self-realized soul, and who is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

After careful consideration and understanding of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the Supreme Personality of Godhead in this material world, one who hears and thinks of Him is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One who understands that this is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who destroys the darkness of material existence, worships Him who destroys the darkness of material existence.
I worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead who destroys the darkness of material existence by thinking that I am the life-force, speech, hearing and other senses, the mind and the intellect, and I am distracted or even the whole world. I worship that Supreme Personality of Godhead who destroys the darkness of material existence Harimide ॥
