A ransom of Rs 10 lakh was demanded, after which the businessman, through his driver, asked to give Rs 7 lakh 90 thousand through checks from two banks and Rs 1 lakh 38 thousand from home to the miscreants.
After getting the money, the miscreants left the businessman in Chamanganj, Ayodhya and fled away. The businessman told that he informed the police on the day of the incident itself, but the police did not even register a case. On the other hand, Superintendent of Police Sarvaran T. said that the businessman first told about paying ransom of Rs 15 lakh, then Rs 13 lakh and later Rs 9 lakh.

According to businessman Raman Kumar Agrahari alias Bablu, resident of Bhikhipur, at around 9 am on Tuesday, he had gone to drop his son Naitik and daughter Shefali at the Shamford School running in Dharauli.
After dropping the children, they were returning home in Bolero. Miscreants in a white car overtook and stopped his Bolero before Pindara Overbridge on the Varanasi-Lucknow National Highway. The miscreants made the businessman sit in their car, blindfolded him and beat him with shoes and belts on the way.
The check book was kept in the businessman's Bolero, which was taken away by the miscreants. After this the check was signed. Sent a kidnapper and gave him to the businessman's driver. It has also been confirmed that the businessman's driver withdrew Rs 4 lakh 40 thousand from HDFC Bank and Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand from Punjab National Bank of Gauriganj.
According to the family members, Rs 1 lakh 38 thousand was taken from the house and given to the miscreants. After getting the money, the miscreants left it in Chamanganj, Ayodhya and fled away. From where the businessman reached his relatives in Kumarganj. Relatives informed the family.
The family members were coming to the businessman's home after going to Kumarganj. The businessman reported the incident by dialing 112 near the abducted spot. However, the case has not been registered yet. During the kidnapping, money was demanded from relatives and friends.
According to the businessman, there was no money in the bank account. On the insistence of the miscreants, money was deposited into the bank account from relatives and friends. After the money was deposited in the bank account, a person involved in the kidnapping used to get the check signed. To avoid being seen by the CC cameras, he used to ask for money by giving a check to the businessman's driver. According to the police, the businessman has made several phone calls.
