Jagran correspondent, Noida. Late Thursday night, near Basai village, Phase 3 police station, Sector 70, a parked car without a handbrake slipped and fell into an open drain. It was fortunate that there was no one in the car. Due to this a major incident was avoided.
Police took out the car with the help of local people. There were no casualties in the accident. There is a liquor vend near Basai village of Phase 3 police station area. The driver left the car near the contract and went to collect some goods. After this the car slipped and entered the drain.
Phase 3 police station in-charge Puneet Singh said that the car without handbrake had slipped and gone into the drain. No one was injured in this. No complaint has been received.
Drains are open at many places
Local people say that there are open drains at many places in Noida. Even after the incident in Sector 150, no concrete steps are being taken by the authority to cover the drains. The people of Basai village have complained many times to the authority about covering the drains.
