Two murdered on suspicion of witchcraft.
Digital Desk, New Delhi. In Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, a young man called his maternal uncle and aunt living in the neighborhood to their house on the pretext of worship and killed them with an axe.
According to the police, the accused youth suspected that both of them had practiced witchcraft due to which his wife had a miscarriage. He continued attacking them until their heads were severed from their bodies. He also attacked two people who came to intervene with an axe. Both are admitted to the hospital and their condition remains critical.
The police have arrested the murderer. An ax has also been recovered. According to the police, the accused and both the deceased and the injured are said to be relatives of each other.
Devsar SDOP Gayatri Tiwari said that investigation so far has revealed that the wife of the accused had a miscarriage. He was under stress regarding this for the last six months. He felt that the aunt and uncle living in the neighborhood had done some witchcraft on his family.
