Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. In Saleh Nagar of Ashiana, a young man committed suicide by hanging himself on Thursday after his wife did not come home from her maternal home for six months. Police reached the spot after receiving information and took the body down from the noose and took it to Lokbandhu Hospital. Where the doctor declared the young man dead. Police are investigating the matter.
25 year old Safi Ahmed, resident of Saleh Nagar, used to work as a labourer. He is survived by his wife Parveen and two sons. Family members told that Safi Ahmed's wife had a dispute over some issue. After this, wife Parveen went to her maternal home. After about six months, the wife did not come from her maternal home. So on Wednesday Safi called his wife. He didn't pick up the phone at first.
After some time Safi got the call again and Parveen spoke on the phone and talked about not coming home. Safi was very upset by this. On Thursday morning he again called his wife and asked her to come home. On this Parveen disconnected the phone.
After this Safi went to the room and hanged himself from the fan with the help of his dupatta. When it was too late, the younger son went to Safi's room and saw that his father was hanging from the noose. Seeing this he ran outside screaming. Hearing the noise, the family and nearby people reached the spot. Meanwhile, someone informed the police about the youth's suicide.
