Patna University Student Union Elections: Only Valid Students Will Remain In The Hostel, Order To Vacate The Rest

Jagran correspondent, Patna. In view of the student union elections, Patna University administration has ordered illegal students and their relatives living in the hostels to vacate the hostels. The university administration has written a letter to the hostel superintendent and college principals, instructing them to identify the students living illegally in the hostels and inform the police administration.

Only those students will stay in the hostel in whose name the room is allotted. Chief Electoral Officer Prof. Shankar Kumar said that police raids in hostels can happen any time during elections. A letter has been written to the police administration for this. Students in whose name the room has been allotted will keep the identity card and hostel allotment receipt with them, so that those students can prove their identity during the raid.

Parents and relatives are also not allowed to stay

The university administration has said that parents and relatives of the students staying in the hostel during the elections are also not allowed to stay in the hostel. No outsider will be allowed to enter the hostel during elections. During this period, if any outsider is caught while staying in the hostel, appropriate action will be ensured.

Ban on entry of political party leaders into the campus

The Chief Electoral Officer said that leaders of any political party will not enter the campus during the student union elections. Members of student organizations studying here will participate in campus publicity campaigns. Loudspeakers will not be used during the contact campaign.

The candidate will conduct a campus contact campaign along with four of his supporters. Classes should not be interrupted during the contact campaign. The remaining supporters will stop at the main gate of the college or department. Will not misbehave with any student during the contact campaign.

48 nomination forms sold on the second day

Chief Electoral Officer Prof. Shankar Kumar told that the sale of nomination forms has started. On the second day, Thursday, student organizations purchased a total of 48 nomination forms. In which nomination forms were sold for 20 central panel and 28 counselor posts.

Earlier on February 11, a total of 32 nomination forms were purchased by student organizations. He informed that nomination forms will be sold till 14th February. Nominations are to be made from 16th to 19th February.
