Ban on entry into civil court without identity card

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Advocates, their clerks and parties will be allowed to enter the Muzaffarpur Civil Court premises only after showing their identity cards. A letter has been sent from the High Court to all the courts of Bihar regarding this.

It has been mentioned in it that this order has been issued after an accused entered the Patna Civil Court with a revolver on January 28 and on the same day, he received a bomb threat to the courts of Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Siwan, Begusarai and Muzaffarpur through email.

District Bar Association President Ramkrishna Thakur alias Rambabu Thakur said that under this new rules, now only identity card holders will get entry into the premises. On Thursday, the association has done miking and informed the advocates about this.

Told that it has been made mandatory for advocates, their clerks and court staff to wear I-card around their neck. Apart from this, the general public and parties will have to prove their identity through Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driving License. Only then will they get entry into the campus. Not only this, their luggage will be thoroughly searched at the entry gate itself.

To make the security system impenetrable, instructions have been given to deploy adequate number of men and women police forces at the main gate as well as install modern scanning machines.

Police patrolling and frisking (body searches) will also be done regularly inside the court to prevent the presence of any kind of weapon or explosive in the premises.
