Negligence exposed in Panchayat building construction
Samvad Sahayak, Purnia East (Purnia). A case of serious negligence and irregularities has come to light in the construction work of Panchayat Government Building, Harda under the block. In this regard, Block Panchayat Raj Officer, Purnia East Dharmendra Sahni has sent a written report to the District Panchayat Raj Officer.
It has been mentioned in the letter that physical inspection of the semi-constructed Panchayat Government building Harda was conducted in which many serious flaws were found. During investigation it came to light that quality standards were not being followed in the construction work.
Brick, sand and cement are not mixed in the right proportion.
According to the inspection report, brick, sand and cement are not being mixed in the correct proportion. Some of the walls have already developed cracks due to the use of poor quality material. At the same time, the condition of the columns and beams inserted during the construction work was also found to be quite pathetic.
The report also made it clear that no technical supervision was done during the construction, due to which the beams and columns were inserted in a crooked manner, which is not in accordance with the construction standards. Photographs have also been attached as evidence related to the investigation and sent to the district office.
Protest by people at rural level
Let us tell you that the construction work of Panchayat Government Building is being done in many Panchayats of Purnia East Block, in which irregularities are being found. In many Panchayats, this is also opposed by the people at the village level, but the sensor is not making any difference to it. The sensor clearly says that whatever work is being done is right, nothing is going to happen due to people making noise.
The villagers have demanded an investigation by a higher official of the department and strict action. In the matter, former Purnia Panchayati Raj Officer Dharmendra Sahni said that irregularities have been found in the construction work of the Panchayat Government building. After investigation, the report has been sent to the District Panchayati Raj Officer.
