Varun Trivedi, Gurugram. Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has taken a big decision keeping in mind the convenience of workers and employers. New branch offices of ESIC will soon be opened in Narnaul (Mahendragarh) and Rozkamev (Nuh). This will directly benefit more than seven thousand registered employees of Mahendragarh district, while the long standing problems of more than six thousand employees and employers of Nuh district will be reduced.

Till now, employees and employers of these two districts had to visit the ESIC office located at Dharuhera in Rewari district for their work. Due to the long distance, both time and money were wasted. With the opening of new offices, registration, medical benefits, sick leave, maternity benefits and other insurance related services will be available at the local level.

Dundahera and Manesar will be branch offices.

The Central Government is continuously working towards decentralization of ESIC services, so that the beneficiaries can get facilities near their homes.

In the same sequence, a plan has been prepared to shift the branch offices operating in the ESIC hospital premises located at Dundahera in Gurugram and Sector-2 of Manesar to other suitable buildings. The tender process for this has been started. The location of ESIC branch office of Dundahera is very dilapidated.

The in-charge of ESIC sub-regional office said that after shifting to the new buildings, the facilities in the branch offices will be expanded. This will directly benefit more than two lakh beneficiaries. There are plans to provide adequate space in the offices, better seating arrangements, increase the number of counters and strengthen digital services.

This step of the department will not only provide relief to the employees, but will also make the processes easier and faster for the employers. This will further strengthen the confidence of workers working in industrial areas on ESIC services.
