Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. After making the city a smart city, the state government will now recognize Nathnagari as a solar and safe city. Through this, CC TV network and Anti Romeo Squad will be deployed to strengthen the security system at public and workplaces in the city. Along with Bareilly, many municipalities are likely to be included in the Safe City.
Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya said that special work is being done in Bareilly regarding Solar City. Along with solar trees, solar based high mast lights are also being installed in the city. More than 90 high masts have been installed in the first phase. Under the Solar City project, the entire city will be illuminated with solar energy. For this, NEDA (Renewable Energy Development Agency) has prepared an action plan.
In this, parking and tourist places, bus and railway stations will be illuminated with solar energy. Solar powered water kiosks will be installed. Vending zones will also be illuminated with solar energy. Under the Smart City project, the Municipal Corporation has already built solar trees and installed solar lights at the Municipal Corporation office, Commissionerate, Collectorate and many other places.
Now the corporation will install solar panels on the roofs of all its zonal offices and other buildings as well as on public toilets. Under the project, vending zones will be created covering 50 to 60 shops through 50 kilowatt panels. High mast lights will be installed at tourist places, railway stations, bus stands and other public places. Charging stations will also be prepared with solar energy.
Bareilly will become a safe city after smart city, security will improve
The government has approved the Safe City project to strengthen the security system in the city as well as in the municipalities. According to officials, under the project, special focus will be given to the safety of women, children and the elderly. For this, the network of CCTV cameras will be increased along with improving the security arrangements at pink toilets, offices and public places.
