The fraudster who was manufacturing fake medicines in the name of a renowned herbal company and selling them in the market was exposed.

Dehat SWAT and Muradnagar police, taking action, have exposed a gang that was manufacturing fake medicines and selling them in the market in the name of a renowned herbal company. Police have arrested three accused of the gang. A huge quantity of medicines, fake packing of a renowned company and other materials were recovered from their possession. The police have taken action on the complaint of a company official. Last month, fake medicines of Himalaya Wellness Company were caught at a medical store in Agra. The seized medicines were supplied from a trading company of Muradnagar. Acting on the complaint of company manager Lalit Kumar, the pharmaceutical department had filed a report against Mukesh, the owner of the said company.
The accused used to prepare and sell fake medicines of Himalaya Company's Liver-52 and other famous brands. Five people have been arrested so far in the fake medicine case, but the goods have not been recovered yet. On Wednesday, SWAT and police conducted a raid and arrested three drug gang members.
The arrested accused have been identified as Jani Singh and Farman, residents of Jalalabad village and Muzzamil, resident of Lohianagar, Meerut. On the trail of the accused, the police recovered about 35 thousand fake pills, 240 wrapper sheets, 450 boxes, three thousand lids, a computer system and other materials.
Medicines and packing materials are prepared from different places.
During interrogation, the accused told that they get fake liver medicines made from Subco Lab of Sonipat. For packing, fake boxes and lids are made from Lohiyanagar in Meerut. Plastic wrappers for bullets are supplied by a person living in Khairnagar, Meerut. Information is being collected about people supplying fake goods.
Based on the information, SWAT and police team have arrested three people with fake medicines. Action will also be taken soon against those who were involved in manufacturing fake medicines. - Lipi Nagayach, ACP, Mussoorie
