Jagran correspondent, Hamirpur. Contract drivers and conductors of the Transport Corporation will get the gift of salary increase in the new year. UP Roadways has announced to increase the per km remuneration from January 1, 2026.
The incentive has also been increased from three thousand to four thousand. Even though there has been a slight increase, there is obvious happiness among the drivers and conductors working on contract in the Roadways Department.
ARM RP Sahu said that under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Janta Seva Yojana, the wages of drivers and conductors have been reduced from Rs 2.18 to 2.28 paise per km. Apart from this, other services have been increased by 0.14 paise. Now the monthly earnings under Uttam and Uttrakash Incentive Scheme will range from Rs 18,687 to Rs 21,687.
As per the issued government order, 10 and 20 year old drivers will get additional benefit of Rs 750 and Rs 1500. Additional incentive has also been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000.
Fixed rates were given to drivers and conductors who provided continuous service. Now drivers will get Rs 18687 as per the standard prescribed in the new Uttam Incentive Scheme, while conductors will get Rs 18418 including incentive amount. Similarly, under the new Utkrisht Incentive Scheme, drivers will get Rs 21,687 including incentive amount of Rs 7,000. Whereas the operators will get Rs 21418.
