NH-18 blocked in protest against Galudih massacre

Around 3 pm on Saturday, villagers descended on National Highway 18 and blocked it in protest against the shooting death of Tara Padhan Mahato, husband of Common Service Center operator cum deputy head, in Khadiya Colony of Galudih police station area of ​​East Singhbhum district.

The villagers came out on agitation demanding arrest of all the culprits of the massacre, protection to the family and other demands. A large number of women also participated in this movement. Here, in view of the announcement of the movement from the east, Galudih was seen in the police cantonment since last night.

A large number of police force personnel were seen deployed around Putru since early morning. However, despite all the preparations by the administration, the villagers blocked the national highway near Putru village. Where a large number of police force officers and soldiers are deployed.

The dead body was not cremated even on the fifth day of the massacre

On the evening of 12th January, Tara Pado Mahato was shot dead in her CSC center over a land dispute in Khadiya Colony. In this murder case, the police have arrested two accused and sent them to jail. However, the villagers and family members were adamant on the demand for early arrest of all the other accused in this case. Due to this, even the post-mortem of the dead body could not be done.

Post mortem of the body was done after all the procedures on Saturday. The cremation of the dead body could not take place even after the national highway was blocked on the fifth day. Due to the blockage of the National Highway here, the problems of the administration have also started increasing.
