NIA team investigated for two days in Shahabad, Kurukshetra.
Jagran correspondent, Kurukshetra. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took continuous action for two days in Shahabad in the arms smuggling case. After taking gun house operator Vijay Kalra and his son Kush on remand and getting some new clues, the team once again investigated in Shahabad on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The NIA investigated possible locations and methods associated with the smuggling network. According to sources, smugglers who brought weapons from far-flung states used to stay in hotels near Ratangarh on GT Road in Shahabad and the deals were done here.
The NIA has seized records of several hotels and is also examining the identity cards given by the smugglers. The team is busy recovering CCTV footage of the hotels, so that the smugglers can be identified. Apart from this, hotel employees and managers have also been interrogated.
