State Bureau, Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials that the devotees should not face any kind of inconvenience in coming to the Magh Mela. Officers should enter the field and take care of all the devotees. He also gave instructions to make security and other arrangements for the devotees at the fair and bathing place. Said, safety and convenience of the devotees is the top priority of the state government. Negligence will not be tolerated at any level in this.

He asked the PWD to build permanent helipads at district headquarters, circuit houses, tehsil and block headquarters. Through video conferencing at his residence on Friday, the Chief Minister, in a review meeting with the district magistrates regarding the preparations for the upcoming festivals and Magh Mela, said that anarchy should not be encouraged under any circumstances.

Make such arrangements that all the devotees can take bath and worship in a safe environment. He instructed the DMs of all the major districts associated with Magh Mela including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Chitrakoot, Hapur (Garhmukteshwar), Mathura-Vrindavan, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur regarding the movement of devotees, cleanliness of ghats and temple complexes.

Instructions given to strengthen health services

He also said that uninterrupted power supply, changing rooms for women, control rooms, crowd management and entry and exit arrangements in the fair area should be ensured. He directed to especially strengthen health services in view of the estimated arrival of 15 to 25 lakh devotees on Paush Purnima in Prayagraj. Said that adequate arrangements for hospitals, medical staff, ambulance, clean toilets, drinking water and facilities for women should be ensured. There should be adequate deployment of divers at the ghats.

The safety of women should be given top priority and strict action should be taken against suspicious and unruly elements in the fair areas and public places by identifying them. The Chief Minister said that all senior officers should inspect the fair site on Friday night itself and give instructions to the subordinates to ensure all the arrangements. He has also given instructions to erect barricades for the convenience of the devotees in view of the strong flow in the river.

To solve the problems of the citizens, he directed to make the public hearing system more effective.

To end the problem of traffic jam on the roads, he directed to remove illegal taxi stands, bus stands and vendors and arrange them at designated places. Regarding the cold wave, the Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrates to provide adequate facilities to the people staying in night shelters. Also, bonfires should be lit at railway stations, bus stands and public places.

Flood prevention action plan will be ready in 10 days

The Chief Minister directed all the District Magistrates to prepare an action plan for flood prevention in the next 10 days. Said that the District Magistrate should also send the flood prevention action plan to the Chief Minister's Office, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary within the stipulated time.
