Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. Residents of Ecovillage, a society, have been waiting for the ownership of their flat for the last 10 years. Fed up with the indifferent attitude of the builder, authority, administration and government, the home buyers here have now approached the High Court for flat registry.

Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Ecovillage and president of the Social Welfare Association, said that flat buyers here started getting possession from the year 2015. The registry of home buyers without any fault was stopped by the authority after 2017. A total of 7932 flats are sanctioned in the project, out of which possession of about 6700 flats has been given.

Despite this, till now only about 1250 flats have been registered, while registration of about 5500 flats is pending. A large number of people are forced to live without Occupancy Certificate (OC), even though full payment has been made to the builder.

He informed that the Social Welfare Association of the society has filed a writ petition in the High Court, Prayagraj. The petition demands that home buyers be provided legal ownership of their flats without any extra charges.
