Jagran correspondent, Greater Noida. North India's first Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) will be developed in three years. There will be investment worth thousands of crores along with employment to more than one lakh people. For the development of EMC, Yamuna Authority has started development of infrastructure facilities in Sector-10.

Facilities like roads, sewer, electricity, drinking water etc. are being developed. Work will start this year on the plot allotted to the companies for construction of the EMI unit.

Gautam Buddha Nagar is manufacturing the maximum number of mobile phones in the country. The district is being developed as an electronics component hub. The EMC being developed in YIDA will play an important role in this.

The development of EMC on 206.40 acres in Yida Sector 10 will cost Rs 538.38 crore. In this, the Centre's share will be Rs 144.38 crore and YIDA will spend Rs 393.90 crore. Spread over an area of ​​206.40 acres, 50 per cent of the EMC has been allotted plots for infrastructural development and the remaining 50 per cent has been allotted to companies for setting up units.

Plot allotment and LOI have been issued

Havells India Ltd. Has been allotted 50 acres of land. The company will invest Rs 800 crore. Havells India Ltd. has been identified as an anchor company in the EMC. Ascent's circuit has been allotted 16 acres of land. There will be an investment of Rs 3800 crore and employment to more than three thousand people.

A letter of intent has been issued for allotment of 22.49 acres of land to Dixon Company. The company is likely to invest more than eight thousand crores. Apart from this, Polynamous, Additech Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd. and Kaynes Semikan Pvt. Ltd. LOIs have also been issued. Companies involved in EMI will get facilities and concessions under the EMI 2 policy of the Central Government.

EMC's first plan could not come to fruition

YIDA had prepared a plan to develop EMC under the leadership of Lava Company under the EMI One policy of the Central Government. A place was also marked for this in Sector 24, but due to the company's delay, this plan could not come to fruition.

Development of infrastructure facilities in the sector for EMC has been started. Production will start at EMC in three years. Along with creating a large number of jobs, it will develop as a hub of electronics components.
