Vikas Gusain, Dehradun. The state government is continuously taking new steps towards making the Chardham Yatra more accessible, safe and organized. In this sequence, preparations are being made to start heli shuttle services for Kedarnath as well as Badrinath and Yamunotri Dham from the coming year. This will not only make the journey of the devotees easier, but will also reduce the possibility of crowd and accidents on inaccessible mountain routes. At present, during the Char Dham Yatra in the state, shuttle services are operated only for Kedarnath Dham. These services are operated from Fata, Sirsi and Guptkashi. Thousands of devotees are benefiting from these services. Based on this experience, the government is now going to extend this facility to other Dhams also. In this series, now there are preparations to operate heli services for Badrinath and Yamunotri also.

Under this, heli shuttle service for Badrinath Dham will be operated from Gauchar, while shuttle service for Yamunotri Dham will be operated from Janaki Chatti. In this regard, Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) had sent a proposal to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). DGCA has given instructions to complete some necessary formalities and technical work before giving its permission.
