Now for booking parcels in the new year, boxes will be available in the post office and will be packed in plastic with the postal department's symbol. According to the old rule of booking from the post office, it is mandatory to pack the parcel contents in cardboard or wooden boxes. It had to be kept in a white cloth bag and closed.
After this the postal department used to accept the parcel. Many times customers complain that the parcel contents have been opened midway and taken out. Parcel contents get wet in rain. Apart from this, the parcel senders had to spend more on packing. The Postal Department is going to start a new system from February for the convenience of parcel sellers and to resolve their complaints.
Ban on packing parcels in cloth
Under the new system, the system of packing parcels in cloth has been completely banned. The customer will not be required to pack the parcel contents. The customer will have to buy the box by paying a nominal price at the post office. The customer will place the goods in the box and the postal department will paste plastic at each joint of the box.
Along with having Indian Post written on it, there will also be a post office symbol. The packet will be sealed by placing a plastic bag over it. After this arrangement, the parcel cannot be opened midway and the parcel contents will not be in danger of getting wet in the rain.
Every day, more than five hundred parcels are sent from the post office in Noida to the country and abroad. After this arrangement, those sending parcels will be free from the hassle of packing and will also have to reduce expenses.
The system of packing parcels in cloth bags will be banned. Boxes of every size will be available in the post office and the parcel items will be packed in them.
