Digital Desk, New Delhi. In a case registered at Varasivani police station in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, an objectionable post on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the internet media platform X (formerly Twitter) has been removed following a court order.

After the complaint made on November 14, the police had found the fact of circulating misleading videos, pictures and comments about Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on the X account. The police sent regular e-mails and legal correspondence to X Corp several times to remove the post, but it was not removed.

The matter reached the court

When the post was not removed within the stipulated time, the police submitted an application before the court. Varasivani Judicial Magistrate First Class Divya Singh ordered X Corp to immediately remove the X account and the objectionable material related to it, but when the delay was found even after due service of the court order, the contempt of court notice was again given to X Corp.

What did the police claim?

After this the objectionable post concerned has been removed. Police claim that this is probably the first time in the state that an ex-post has been removed following a court order.
