Scientific technical training to farmers for mustard and mustard crops.
Jagran correspondent, Bhabua (Kaimur). Observation of Rabi oilseed crop was organized under the National Edible Oil Oilseeds Mission in various villages of the district. This program was successfully completed under the leadership of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The farmers of the district were made aware of new farming methods through scientific technical training and observation of mustard and sugarcane crops.
In this observation organized under the leadership of agricultural scientist Amit Kumar Singh, nodal officer of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, training and guidance was given to farmers in a total area of 300 hectares. In this, mustard crop was distributed to 630 farmers in 250 hectares and tisi crop was distributed to 152 farmers in 50 hectares.
During the inspection, seeds, bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides and herbicides were made available to the farmers. This helped the farmers to understand the ways to get better yield of Rabi oilseed crop and reduce the cost of agriculture. All material and technical support was ensured by Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
During the program, senior scientist and chief Dr. Sadanand Rai, while giving guidelines, said that making farmers aware of scientific farming methods is the key to the success of the mission. He asked the farmers to pay special attention to seed planting, crop protection and biological control methods.
A total of 782 farmers were given training and materials in the Pratyaksha organized in different villages of different blocks of the district. Understanding the importance of using new seeds and organic products, farmers pledged to use them in their crops.
Agricultural experts say that such realization will not only increase the yield of farmers, but will also strengthen the objectives of the National Oilseeds Mission. Plans are being made to further expand such programs in future so that all the farmers of the district can do scientific and profitable farming of Rabi oilseed crop.
The Pratyaksha program created enthusiasm and awareness among the farmers to adopt new technologies. This initiative will prove to be an important step towards agricultural development of the district and increasing the income of farmers.
