The Election Commission and BJP have rejected these allegations of Congress.
Digital Desk, Srinagar. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has said that the INDI Alliance opposition group has nothing to do with the 'vote theft' campaign of the Congress.
Abdullah told the media, "Every party has the right to choose its agenda. Congress has made SIR and vote theft its main issue. Who are we to tell them what to do? They can choose their issues, and we will choose ours."
Congress held a big rally in the national capital to intensify its 'vote theft' campaign. The main opposition party has accused the Election Commission of colluding with the BJP to manipulate the voting process. The Election Commission and BJP have rejected these allegations.
Abdullah's comments come a week after the National Conference leader said the INDI Alliance was on "life support". This brought a strong reaction from the allies, some supported Abdullah's point and some did not agree with it.
Speaking in Delhi, Abdullah said, "We are kind of on life support, but sometimes someone takes out their paddle and gives us a little shock and we get up again. But then, unfortunately results like Bihar come and we go down again. And then someone has to take us to the ICU."
He also said he believed the INDI block had "pushed Nitish Kumar back into the arms of the NDA" and pointed to the alliance's failure to include the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in the Bihar seat-sharing arrangement.
