Republic Day Muzaffarpur: On the occasion of Republic Day, Deputy Chief Minister cum Minister in-charge Vijay Sinha hoisted the flag in the main function organized at Pandit Nehru Stadium in Sikandarpur. During this, he reiterated his resolve to establish the rule of law in the state and further strengthen good governance.

In his address, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Muzaffarpur is the land of revolution, culture and consciousness. This district is not just a geographical identity, but a living story of sacrifice, struggle and patriotism. This is the land of brave sons like immortal martyr Khudiram Bose, Prafulla Chaki, Jubba Sahni.

He also remembered with reverence the magician of the pen Ramvriksh Benipuri and Acharya Janaki Vallabh Shastri. Said that today's government is continuously moving towards realizing the dreams of those great men.

Vijay Sinha said that the state government is fully committed to maintaining peace and rule of law. As a result, a steady decline in crime cases is being recorded. He said that in comparison to the year 2024, there has been a decline of 9.68 percent in the cases of murder, 32.33 percent in robbery and more than 15 percent in theft in the district in 2025.

Similarly, a decline has also been recorded in rape and other criminal incidents. This has increased the confidence of the general public in the police and administration. The team of Dial 112 reached the spot within minutes of receiving the information and is providing assistance and protection to the victims.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is also fully committed to building a drug-free society. More than one lakh liters of liquor has been seized by the Prohibition Department and more than three thousand liquor traders and consumers have been arrested and sent to jail. Police is also continuously running a campaign in this direction.

He said that the government is running many welfare schemes in the interest of the general public, the positive impact of which is clearly visible in the society.

On this occasion, Commissioner Girivar Dayal Singh, District Magistrate Subrata Kumar Sen, DIG Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, SSP Kantesh Kumar Mishra and many senior police and administration officials were present.

After the end of the ceremony, flags were also hoisted in the Collectorate premises, Commissioner's office, Deputy Inspector General of Police office, SSP office and all the sub-divisional offices and police stations.
