Pakistan Finally Had To Bow Down, Got Ready To Play A Blockbuster Match With India

Abhishek Tripathi, Jagran, New Delhi. Pakistan has agreed to play India in the T-20 World Cup on February 15 in Colombo, but it is looking for a suitable excuse to go in front of the Pakistani public, that is why it has asked for time till Tuesday for the official announcement.

On Sunday, ICC Vice President Imran Khawaja reached Lahore and held a marathon meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul and other cricket boards. After this, on Monday night, Pakistan Home Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said in the press conference that the final decision regarding playing with India will be taken in the next 24 hours.

Continuous talks are going on with ICC and BCB on this matter. However, sources say that Naqvi spoke to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif after the meeting and after that it has been decided to play Pakistan's match with India. The ICC then issued a terse press release stating that despite its withdrawal from the tournament, no fines or sanctions would be imposed on the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Earlier, BCB also gave a statement that it requests PCB to let Pakistan play the T20 World Cap match against India.
