Path Cleared For International Stadium In Palwal With The Conditions Of Gram Panchayat, 124 Acres Of Land Handed Over To Sports Department

The Gram Panchayat has transferred 124 acres of land identified for the construction of the proposed international sports stadium in Bahraula village of the district to the Sports Department on a 33-year lease. Whereas earlier a plan was made to build the stadium on 100 acres of land.

On the other hand, the Public Works Department has also prepared a feasibility report for the construction of the stadium and sent it to the government. After getting approval from there, further process will be started.

The feasibility report has evaluated all aspects such as cost of construction of the stadium, distance to the highway and technical feasibility. On the demand of Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam, CM Nayab Saini had announced the International Sports Stadium in the thanksgiving rally organized at Palwal Grain Market on June 6.

Under the leadership of the state government, Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam is making preparations on a large scale to give the district a new identity in the field of sports. In this direction, an international sports stadium is being built in Behraula village.

The stadium will have facilities like cricket ground, badminton hall, boxing hall, athletics track, fitness and rehab center, hotel and restaurant. There will also be seating arrangements for 35 to 50 thousand spectators in the stadium.

Gram Panchayat put forward these demands

Behraula Gram Panchayat has put forward some demands before the government regarding the international sports stadium. The Gram Panchayat says that after the construction of an international sports stadium in the village, the villagers should get the facility to watch the matches free of cost.

While appointing class IV employees in the stadium, preference should be given to village youth. If there is a canteen facility in the stadium, then the contract for it should be given to the villagers only. The Sports Department and the Public Works Department have prepared a file of these demands of the Gram Panchayat and sent it to the government.

Beautification work of Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium started

At the same time, the work of beautification of Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium has started in the city. The stadium is being beautified at a cost of Rs 4 crore 26 lakh. Under this, the installation of six feet boundary wall, walking track and fencing in the fountain volleyball court is included in the stadium.

Let us tell you that Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium is the only district level stadium. District level and state level sports competitions are organized here. Dussehra fair is also held in this stadium. Most of the people of the city come to this stadium for warning walk. It is seen as the identity of the district.

Behraula Gram Panchayat has transferred the land to the Sports Department. Now further processes like map and estimate of the sports stadium will be implemented.
