Patna: 1,257 Teachers Of The District Caught In Random Check, Not Making Online Presence.

Jagran correspondent, Patna. The Education Department is closely monitoring the presence and absence of teachers working in the schools of the district. When the attendance of random teachers was checked by the District Education Office, 1,257 teachers of the district were found missing. This investigation was done two days before the declaration of Christmas holiday.

During the random check on December 23 and 24, 1,257 teachers were found who had neither registered their attendance online nor applied for leave. Maximum two hundred teachers from Patna Sadar Block (Urban) are included in this.

According to the data, 25,219 teachers are working in a total of 3,419 schools in the district. In which on 23 and 24 December, 18 thousand 727 teachers registered their attendance online and five thousand, 235 teachers remained on leave. Not only this, there are two teachers of Bakhtiyarpur block who have not used the e-education portal to register their attendance not only in December but also in October and November.

Explanation will be asked from these teachers

The concerned officer of the District Education Office said that many more such teachers are being investigated. The concerned Block Education Officers have been directed to ask for clarification from these identified teachers. If you do not give correct answers, report to the District Education Officer's office. If an attempt is made to save such teachers, action will also be taken against the concerned officer. A letter will be written to the department to suspend the concerned officers and teachers.
