Patna-Chhapra New Train Agreed; Maithili Thakur's Proposal Also Accepted, Matter Will Be Sent To The Center

State Bureau, Patna. Bihar Politics: Bihar government will send a proposal to the central government to run a pair of new trains between Patna and Chhapra. Transport and Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar said the above while replying to a private resolution in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.

During the proceedings, many important non-governmental resolutions related to regional development and rail facilities were agreed upon. The proposal to run a pair of new trains between Patna and Chhapra was brought by MLA Chhoti Kumari.

He said in the House that besides Chhapra being the divisional headquarters, there is a need for regular commuting to Patna for lakhs of people from districts like Gopalganj and Siwan.

But there is not enough rail service for this. Due to which the concerned local residents have to face problems. Therefore, starting a new train is necessary in public interest. On behalf of the government, Minister Shravan Kumar supported it and said that this is an issue related to public interest, the government can send a proposal in this regard to the Central Government.

Agreement on connecting Lohana-Muktapur railway line also

Chairman Prem Kumar also gave necessary instructions in this direction. Meanwhile, it was agreed to send the proposal to connect Lohana-Muktapur railway line in Darbhanga district to the Railway Ministry.

Maithili Thakur, who made the proposal, said that if this happens, the pace of development in Ghanshyampur-Tardih block will accelerate and better employment and transportation facilities will also be available.

In the same sequence, Ramseval Singh's proposal regarding the demand for stoppage of long distance trains at Hathua railway station was also approved in the Assembly. A total of 141 private resolutions were introduced in the House on Wednesday, many of which were unanimously agreed upon.
