Pension Of Retired Employees Involved In Corruption Will Be Cut In Ghaziabad, Investigation Of Complaints In Shikhar Enclave Scheme Completed

Investigation has been completed in the matter of complaint regarding quality of construction work and overpayment to the contractor in Shikhar Enclave Scheme in Vasundhara Sector-15. The employees involved in this have retired, whose pension will be cut by five to 10 percent to compensate for the loss. Local resident Sandeep Gupta had complained to the government in this matter. After this the investigation was started.

During the board meeting of Housing Development in Lucknow on 26th December, instructions were given to take action against officers and employees involved in corruption in Shikhar Enclave and other schemes. Housing Development Council had launched a society of 216 flats in Vasundhara. When its construction work started, the allottees had complained about poor quality and defects.

Apart from this, negligence of payment of more than Rs. 60 lakhs to the production agency even before the construction was also revealed. In this case, in the year 2018, a case was filed against the construction agency and the executive engineer who was negligent while blacklisting was also suspended.

Since the year 2018, the case was being investigated under the chairmanship of Financial Controller Dr. Mahesh Chandra Pandey. The investigation report submitted in the board meeting has revealed that the housing development has suffered a loss of around Rs 9 crore. Those involved in this include retired executive engineer Nasir Hussain, assistant engineer Rajeev Kumar Yadav, junior engineer UC Mishra, junior engineer Gajendra Pal, assistant engineer DC Shukla and others.

It has been decided in the board meeting that on the basis of pension, it will be deducted between three to six years. Sandeep Gupta said that the government had taken cognizance of the complaint made on the Jansunwai portal in the year 2018. After this the team from Lucknow came and investigated. Negligence was found in this. Even in response to RTI, the Housing Development Council had talked about filing an FIR against the builder contractor.

The investigation was being conducted from Lucknow. The investigation report has also not been received in the office yet. The Financial Controller has investigated this matter and action will also be taken at his level.
