Online ticket booking facility started in Patna Zoo

Jagran correspondent, Patna. Patna Zoo administration has intensified preparations for the New Year celebrations. Keeping in mind the convenience of tourists, the facility of online ticket booking has been started in Patna Zoo from 25th December. In view of the possibility of huge crowd in the zoo on the first day of the New Year i.e. January 1, not only has the ticket rates been temporarily increased, but arrangements for additional counters and staff are also being made.

According to Patna Zoo administration, the ticket price on January 1 will be up to three times that of normal days. On this day, the ticket for adults has been fixed at Rs 150 instead of Rs 50 and for children between 5 to 12 years, it has been fixed at Rs 60 instead of Rs 20.

However, these increased prices will be applicable only for January 1. Ticket rates will remain normal on the remaining days.

Every year a record number of people reach Patna Zoo on New Year. Keeping this in view, special arrangements have been made for crowd management. While four ticket counters operate on normal days, 10 additional counters will be installed on January 1.

In this way, tickets will be sold from a total of 14 counters, so that people do not have to stand in long queues and the entry process can happen smoothly.

Patna Zoo Director Hemant Patil said that online and advance ticket booking will provide a lot of convenience to the tourists. This will reduce the pressure of crowd at the entry gates and will also save time.

He said additional personnel would be deployed at the entry and exit points to maintain security and order. Besides, special plans have also been made regarding parking and crowd control.

Here, on the occasion of New Year, ticket rates have also been increased in major parks of Patna. In the city's most popular Eco Park, on January 1, the ticket for adults has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 50 and the ticket for children has been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 25.

Apart from this, revised rates will also be applicable in 14 parks including Shivaji Park, Punaichak Park, SK Puri Children Park on New Year's Day.

At Veer Kunwar Singh Park, tickets have been fixed at Rs 25 for adults and Rs 10 for children. Whereas in Naveen Sinha Park, Shivaji Park and Punaichak Park, adults will have to pay a ticket of Rs 20 and children will have to pay Rs 10.

At the Children Park located on Boring Road, the rate has been fixed at Rs 25 for adults and Rs 10 for children.

The administration says that the increased rates are only for January 1 and its purpose is to control the crowd and ensure better arrangements. Zoos and parks will once again become major attractions for the people of Patna during the New Year holiday.
