Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to produce sportspersons from every household. Sansad Sports Mahotsav is being organized at the block level to identify talent. Said that players who win medals in various sports are being given jobs in government departments. He described sports as the basic mantra to remain physically and mentally healthy.
On Tuesday, Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal and Cabinet Minister Dhan Singh Rawat inaugurated the Volleyball, Hockey, Football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Athletics and Pithu competitions under the District Parliamentarian Sports Mahotsav at the Parade Ground. He went to the field and introduced the players participating in various sports. Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is realizing the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Resolved to build a sports ground
He said that the Chief Minister has resolved to make a sports ground along with the Devbhoomi. Said that today players are bringing glory to the state by winning medals in various sports at the international level. The Prime Minister has increased the budget to promote sports. Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that with the aim of giving a new flight to sports and players, Sansad Sports Mahotsav is being organized in Dehradun.
Said that the MP Sports Mahotsav is inspired by the Prime Minister's Khelo India vision. On this occasion, Project Director Vikram Singh, Youth Welfare Officer Pramod Pandey, Additional Project Director Sonam Gupta, District Sports Officer Ravindra Bhandari etc. were present.
