Digital Desk, Jamshedpur. A fierce encounter took place between the police and kidnappers late Thursday night in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. This encounter took place near Sai Temple located in Sonari police station area at around 2 o'clock in the night, in which three notorious kidnappers were injured by bullets.
All the injured have been admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment, where their condition is said to be stable. The injured kidnappers have been identified as Guddu Singh, Rameez Raza and Imran, residents of Gaya district of Bihar.
Kairav Gandhi was caught by the police in the kidnapping case.
All three accused were caught by the police in the famous Kairav Gandhi kidnapping case of Jharkhand. According to police sources, during interrogation, the accused had revealed that they had hidden some weapons used during the kidnapping in the forest behind the Sai Temple in Sonari.
To recover the weapons, the police team reached the spot with the three accused in a van. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the opportunity, one of the accused snatched the carbine from the policeman and tried to escape while firing.

Seeing the situation worsening, the police retaliated. About 11 rounds of bullets were fired from both sides, causing panic in the area.
Due to the promptness of the police, all three accused failed to escape and during the encounter they were shot in the leg. After this, he was brought under control and sent to MGM Hospital for immediate treatment.
Search operation was conducted after cordoning off the entire area
As soon as information about the incident was received, Jamshedpur Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey, City SP Kumar Shivashish and many senior officers including DSP reached the spot. The entire area was cordoned off and a search operation was conducted and the situation was completely brought under control.
Police officials said that no policeman was injured during the encounter. The case is being thoroughly investigated and other aspects related to the criminal network of the accused are also being investigated.
During interrogation, the kidnappers had told that during the kidnapping they had hidden weapons near the Sai temple. When the police party was brought to recover the weapon, they snatched the carbine from one of our soldiers and tried to escape while firing at the police. The police opened fire in self-defence. All three kidnappers were shot in the legs. Treatment is going on in MGM.
