Delhi Police has intensified its investigation into the fight between Air India Express pilot Virendra Sejwal and a passenger at Terminal-1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). On Wednesday, the police served a notice to the accused pilot, Captain Virendra Sejwal and interrogated him. The police compared their answers with the evidence of the incident based on the statement of the complainant passenger Ankit Diwan.

According to the information, the police have taken CCTV footage of the incident in their possession, so that the links of the entire dispute that took place on December 19 can be connected. Following the FIR lodged on the email complaint of victim Ankit Diwan, the police are now trying to clarify who initiated the dispute. For this, the police is busy collecting evidence by assembling the entire incident on the basis of technical evidence, statements of the accused and the complainant and statements of eyewitnesses.

During this, both sides have accused each other of misbehavior and threats. During this, the dispute escalated so much that the pilot allegedly punched the passenger on his face, due to which Ankit's nose was broken. Other passengers and security personnel present at the spot intervened and pacified the matter.

Also, the ministry has ordered independent investigation by all the agencies. Although no arrests have been made yet, police say that further action will be taken based on the medical report and video evidence.
