Activists of Hindu organization came to complain to the police
Jagran correspondent, Shahjahanpur. Mission Shakti campaign is going on for the safety of women and daughters. Helpline numbers are also being given to seek police help in case of crime related to women, but Chowk Kotwali police prevented the elderly woman for three days from taking action against Akhtar, accused of molesting a Class 3 student.
The woman had given a complaint about the incident with her granddaughter to the police on December 11 itself, but the police continued to suppress the matter. Even higher officials were not informed about this matter. Finally the victim's family informed the workers of the Hindu organization about the incident. After which a large number of people reached the police station under the leadership of Rajesh Awasthi.
Protest was also expressed regarding this attitude of the police. After this, not only the FIR was registered in a hurry but it also took no time in arresting the accused. If the police had done the same thing on December 11, a large number of people would not have had to gather at the police station. Earlier too, the attitude of the police in women related crimes has brought disgrace to the department.
Whereas a day earlier, Women and Child Protection Organization and Additional Superintendent of Police of 1090 Lucknow Headquarters Hitendra Krishna had come to review the Mission Shakti Abhiyan. He had also told about the objectives of Mission Shakti but even after that the Chowk Kotwali police did not pay attention.

Protest for the second time in a week
Activists of the Hindu organization had to reach the police station to protest for the second time in a week. On December 7, a Hindu minor was being converted and married to a Muslim youth in Sadar area. It was only after the protest of the Hindu organization that she was saved from becoming a minor bride.
On the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered. The matter is being investigated thoroughly. Why action was not taken on the complaint given three days ago will also be investigated.
