Elder brother Suresh Pokharia, who reached the post-mortem house on Thursday, told that his father Hemchandra Pokharia is a priest. His second mother is Lakshmi, the elder daughter of Ganga Devi. His first mother Bhairavi Devi had died. In total he has eight brothers and sisters. Due to lack of better education in the village, younger sister Lakshmi came to him for studies.

It was said that last five months, Lakshmi had started living in a rented room in Mukhani area, saying that she would live near the college. He had not had any conversation with Lakshmi for the last one and a half month. Said that he received information about Lakshmi's death on phone from the police. On which he immediately reached here. By working in a medical store, she also managed to meet the expenses for her studies and other work.

Youngest among six siblings, all five are teachers

Shubham lived alone in Haldwani.

Deceased Shubham's uncle, retired police personnel Harish Lal, who reached the post-mortem house on Thursday, told that all Shubham's brothers and sisters are in government jobs. The whole family is prosperous. After falling prey to drug addiction, Shubham was admitted to the drug de-addiction center located at Katgharia Lamachod. He improved after staying in a de-addiction center for two-three years. Then he got the job of supervisor in the same de-addiction center. In which he worked for a long time.

Then later he was working as a counselor in another de-addiction center. According to the information received, he had also left the job of a counselor four months ago. Here, according to the police, an FIR has also been registered against Shubham under the Arms Act in the year 2021 in Almora. In Almora itself, he had even sold his mother's earrings to pay for drugs. Due to which the family members got very upset and admitted him to a drug free centre.
